For years in Scouts, we'd use the turkey fryer, with its 30k BTU burner, to heat/boil water for large pasta meals, dishwashing, etc... Those days are over and I will be using my backpacking gear for overlanding. If you are in San Diego and would either like to fry a turkey (in like $100 of oil, fyi) or cook for large groups, this excellent low tech giant burner and aluminum pot is yours for either two hot crunchy beef tacos or 5 rolled with guac, with two red salsas, delivered at time of pick up. Yes, I am shilling for a snack.
