I figured with everyone having different trailers- some purchased, some built- why not start a thread about trailer layout and organization? I just scored a good deal on a Tuff Stuff expedition trailer, and am already looking at what to do with all the open space.

This is a thread to post your trailer layout or designs, as well as what you've done to organize your trailer, or otherwise outfit your blank canvas.

Tax is my new trailer the day I picked it up, and the blank slate I'm starting with. 20200518_104744.jpg20200518_104715.jpg

Nice. How much does it weight, WxL, size wheels, suspension? Little more sophisticated than the trailer I pulled behind my FJ.

I'm just getting started with a trailer build. I started with the Lowe's 3.5x5.5 landscaping trailer similar to @Biker Eagle , flipped the axle, extended the tongue, added a rear bumper, raised the tail lights to the top of the body and put a cargo carrier in front of the box for the cooler and other gear. It worked ok this last weekend but I need to maximize storage with it. I'm thinking my next step will be removing the expanded metal and sheeting it with aluminum then building a top for it. Bigger tires and shackle type springs vs the original slipper springs will come in the future but right now I want to get it fairly water proof and get the capacity up a bit. We were able to get 4 peoples worth of gear in the two large totes but we still need room for another sleeping pad and bag for the whole family.

We are currently using the Sterelite "Stacker" totes. They worked good, kept the gear clean and dry but just don't have the capacity we really need overall like I had hoped.
