Guys in talks experience what’s a good set of all terrains for a stock 4Runner. I ran Hancooks on my Dodge but have heard great things about the BFG’S KTM

I live in snow country, so had to have something that worked for that. Also, my road to my place gains 2000’ in 4-1/2 miles, so gravel and rocks were a concern. I have a 95’ Jeep Cherokee, and after looking at the many tires it came down to the General Grabbers, AT3 , or BFG KO2. Looking side by side at both tires, the tread looked better on the BFGs. I ended up going with the BFGs and have been real happy with them. One thing about the tires, on a light rig like my Jeep, I should get 50k + for wear out of them too. I know you are going to get lots of different options on this subject, but if you look at all the coverage of the different Overland expos, you will see more rigs setup with BFG KO2 tires than all the other tires combined. Hope this helps, Benz.

I have wrangler duratracs. They are technically all terrain tires. But they are very close to mud tires. They do make noise. But it’s a subtle hum. I drive with the, everyday and it hasn’t bothered me since. The wear so far has been good. They look pretty aggressive. My only gripe is the sidewall. They are weak. Iv gone through two sidewalls since I bought them in September. Granted, one was a hidden rock in a water hole that I hit with a little too much speed. The other was a small rock that tore the sidewall just enough for it to leak slowly for a couple weeks then finally let loose. Overall, I would recommend them if you don’t plan on rock crawling often. If your like me in the northeast, where rocks are plenty full and usually sharp, I don’t know that I would recommend the.

Everyone raves about the BFG ATs. I owned a set and after 30k miles they were toast. I wasn't impressed and wouldn't buy them again. I currently have a set of Hankook Dynapro ATMs on my Jeep and they have over 35k miles on them and they still have tons of tread left. Very happy with them - they're also better in the snow/ice than my Goodyear MTRs were and significantly quieter. I've never had traction issues off-road either but I don't do much mud (California doesn't get much rain).

Tires are like opinions... or something like that. I am throwing my vote in for the Hankook DynaPro ATM’s. Nice aggressive look, price is amazing and 50k warranty!! Had them on 2 vehicles now (current a 2017 4Runner) and I love them
