What are your thoughts on this battery for our JK running our fridge? I think it would be the best option I can get locally.

Since your posting on this forum I assume you want to power stuff with it other than just the Jeep. With that said, I wouldn't buy it. Optima has had a bad reputations in recent years (I'm a VP for an auto part company). Also, it has 72 amp hours. I would look for something with more AH or go dual battery. I'm not sure what they offer in Canada but checkout Northstar batteries. I am actually running a single Bosch AGM with 100AH hooked into solar. Hope that helps.

It does. Thanks. I want to run our fridge overnight. I will be driving the vehicle ev3ry day, but want to keep the fridge running overnight.
Depending on the size of the fridge, weather, etc that should do it. Bring a portable jump pack with you just in case. I've been eyeing up this one..

If you want the battery to last 10+ years rather than replacing it every few as you will with a lead acid, and you can live with the up front cost, lithium (LiFe po4) is the way to go. You save a lot of weight, too.
I splurged on a BattleBorn but there are others.

I ran the yellow top for two years, it was powering the same system you are talking about. I had no issues until I did! I switched to a Genesis that Autozone delivered for free at a good price. Much better battery in my opinion.
As for duel batteries, I am a fan of redundancy but with the new small lithium jump starters I really have not found the desire to make the change. But if I did go through the hassle of adding a duel system to my JKU I would look at Genesis or Redarc.
Just my ten cents nothing else.

Hey, not sure on the exact specifics of your Jeep but I just replaced my stock H6 battery in my 2018 F150 with the longer H8 battery. Luckily it fit in my standard battery tray. After my research I ended up between Odyssey and North Star Batteries. Optima seemed to have more recent negative reviews. Here are two links for some Canadian Suppliers of those battery brands. You will just have to do a bit of research on what battery will fit best. They will ship right to your door. I’m running my Dometic CFX3 75 off my new odyssey battery and a solar panel.
