Hey all! So being that I went a bought a new truck I decided to start a new build thread and a short and long term review of the vehicle. So without further ado, I give yall the Endurance Mk2. A 2019 Chevy Colorado ZR2 in Flame Red. My previous build was a 2006 Hummer H3 the I called the Endurance.

So I have had the truck for about 7 months now and I am, so far, very pleased with its performance and ride. I bought the V6 version mainly because I am more familiar with the Gas engines than I am with the Diesel engines. My initial impression of the rig as I drove it off the lot was good and got better as I drove it. The V6 mated with the 8-speed transmission give the truck plenty of get up and go both on and off road all while maintaining good fuel economy. I would average between 15 mpg with a strong headwind and about 23mpg in calm weather. The suspension in the ZR2 is, by and large, the best off-road-oriented factory suspension I have ridden in. The DSSV Multi-matics are wonderful on and off-road, the on-road ride is pliant but controlled while off-road the DSSV's suck up the bumps and ruts as if they don't even exist. Now the only complaint that I had with the factory suspension was the front coil springs, after driving on them for several months I came to the conclusion that they were a bit too soft for what the truck was built for. To fix this I had two options, the first was replacing the factory springs with the Eibach 1.25 inch leveling coils or using the Diesel version coils. I went with the Eibachs and so far am satisfied with the stiffer ride and the leveled stance of the truck.

I also added Datin Metal Fab shock skids to the rear shock mounts. The rear mounts are the lowest point on the vehicle and are prone to damage even with careful tire placement and good spotting.

Now being that I live in Wyoming, and there are a lot of wild animals and big snow storms that roll through I decided to add some amber lights for extra visibility and safety during those late nights excursions. So I bought a set of Baja Designs Squadron Pro Spots with amber covers and mounted them to the Rago Fabrication ditch light brackets and wired them up to a Source S-Pod switch cluster to keep everything neat and tidy.

Now I still have a bunch of ideas for the rig and getting it to the state of being ready to run the Pan-American Highway, but that is still several years in the future for the Endurance and my little brothers rig. So with that being said stay tuned for the build and the adventure that are involved with it!
