Hey everyone,
Wondering how I should store tap water in a container that I am going to keep in my vehicle for a few months. The water here is treated, but should I also treat it with anything myself before storing it so long? TIA -Josh

I have an 11 gallon footwell water tank that stay full all the time. I top it off after every outing.

Probably good practise to top out the container and add an eggcup full of sterilising fluid every so often such as Milton. Milton won’t kill you but makes the water smell a bit like chlorine. If your container is opaque you should be ok,if it’s white and the light can get through you could have slime growing in there. Personally I would drop the water out and inspect the container and then put some fresh in.
