Howdy all! I wanted to get some of your inputs on running steering stabilizers. I have a 16 Nissan Titan XD with the 5.0 diesel. It has a 2.5-3 inch level lift on the front. I'm adding some Bilstein shocks(if the company ever responds or answers their phone lol) and wondered if it is worth it or needed to add the stabilizer. Thanks in advance!

Stabilizers are bandaids... if you need them, there is something else wrong... if the rig comes with them from the factory, that’s a different story.

as for Blistine Shocks... can’t go wrong there...

as for Blistine Shocks... can’t go wrong there...
Awesome!! Thats kinda what i figured. I see some companies push them for a build but on the stock style set up I just didn't see the reason for it. Im not boulder crawiling or doing some crazy articulation.

Coming from a motorcycle background, I have seen and experienced what a high speed death wobble really is - a tank slapper. Steering damper in that scenario is critical. I believe that the same holds true, but primarily for freeway or higher speed travel. JKU comes with one and I upgraded to the Bilstein 5100 series damper and shocks. When the rig is heavy, they work amazing. low fuel and only me in the rig and it rides a touch on the hard side. Not bad, just firmer.

LOL, motorcycles are definitely an exception to the rule - high speed tank slappers. I miss those days. :disrelieved: Solid axle vehicles will get the Death wobble just having the tires out of balance. IFS vehicles should not need stabilizers if set up correctly.
