Skid plate noise

I have aluminum skid plates and they have started squeaking.
I plan to put plastic washers between the plates and the frame (cross member).
Is there a better solution or a better material/ product to use as a bushing?

I made kydex lief pack shims that work great for my squeaky rear suspension. Tons of movement there and they have stayed nice and quiet.

Weather stripping from lowes/depot works nicely too. I've never had this issue, but a couple of friends with the same plate have, and were able to remedy it this way.

I cut a old mud flap from a tractor trailer into small squares and it works great!
