So typically we try to do a week or so trip in June before fire season starts to pick up. We try to bar our routes around water when we travel with the boys, 10 & 12, so they’re entertained. With the snow pack this year I’m wondering how planning a trip is going to be. Water crossed gs in years past may have been inconsequential but that may not be the case this year with prolonged heavy snow melt. Depending on temps in the next couple weeks many higher elevations may still be closed due to snow. Anyone else in the same boat? What are you guys thinking for this years trips?

We got record snow, in fact there will be snowboarding till July high up......

I would say water crossings will be deeper. Snow on the roads should be ok (?).......

Just got to check when closer.

Also Reno is notorious for memorial day snow......

Flood watches are already starting to pop up with advisories for water crossings. I saw else where that the Central Sierra have twice the SWE than all the reservoirs in the area can hold.
