Securing awning to the vehicle - security lock?

I'm installing my 6.5' awning to the stock roof rack with 'L' brackets that came with it.

My question is, what did you use to secure the awning to the vehicle to keep anyone from trying to steal it? Yes, we have issues in our neighborhood with car break-ins and I'm concerned that a few nuts/bolts won't keep someone from considering it.

JB weld over the nuts?? Or buy some of those security nuts?

Buy some break off nuts. You’ll probably have to use a grinder to cut them off or cut some notches to get a wrench head on, but they won’t come off! That’s what I’ve done for my bed rack after having someone open up my RTT (I assume they thought it was a cargo carrier).
