Looking for recommendations on RTT mounts for a 2017 Tacoma. I’ve looked at Brute Force Fab, KB Voodoo and CBI.

Any suggestions, tips, advice?

Awesome, with your Premium Rack, how do the two different mounting options actually mount to the bed? Do you have any installation instructions to look at? What is the weight of it? and the max weight it can support?

For the Tacoma, it mounts to your factory accessory rail with included T slot nuts.

Email me at sales@kbvoodoo.com and I will send you the instruction PDF.

The premium rack weighs about 90 pounds.

The load rating of the premium rack is 750 lbs static, 400 lbs dynamic.

20170724_155341.jpg 20170603_095606.jpg 20170407_065128.jpg I bought the Brute Force rack. I love this rack. One of deciding factors was that his shop is only 30 min from me. He's a great guy to work with. He did some custom flags on my rack. One thing to remember is he is a one man manufacturing machine. He does all his own stuff, so it may take a month or two.

The Brute Force Rack looks awesome. Love the custom flags. With the way that rack mounts to the bed, would you say that its made to be permanent, as in, just not easily removable. That's the only real concern i have with the Brute Force, is that its not something can be taken on and off easily? Any idea how much it weighs?

It was simple to put on. Just unscrew the 4 torx bolts. You'll need 2 people to take it off. I'd say it's about 115-125#. I personally wanted my rack to mount on the bed of the truck instead of the top rails of my bed. I'm a bit paranoid, since the beds are composite. Though, I have not heard of beds cracking from the weight being on top. I don't think you can go wrong on any of the racks your looking into.

On my 2016 Tacoma I’ve got the Relentless Fabrication load bars. Used them with a Front Runner roof top tent driving from Alaska to New York and had no problems, and at under $200 they were a lot cheaper than other options I looked at. I can put them on and take them off easily by myself.

My rack just arrived this morning and is at the powder coater. Do you have any pics of how you mounted the RTT to it? Looks like you it only has two mounting spots.

Ok.. nice.. I think I only have 1 crossbar in the middle since I have the short bed, hopefully I can mount to one of the ends as well. Picking it up in the morning.

Your rack should be like mine, just shorter. I'm 99% sure you'll have the same supports in the same spots to mount your RTT. Looking forward to seeing it when you get it.

Mine is definitely different but it worked.. there were some areas that it looks like were made to bolt too. Very happy with the final results.

That looks great! I like how he added that top piece in the back to mount lights if you want. Mine just has 2 tabs to add lights.
That rack can hold a lot of stuff.
