Enthusiast III
Hey guys. I built this in May before our summer camping season and have decided to go with a slightly different design and would prefer not to have this sitting in the back yard. The bedrack and basket are separate entities. Bedrack hoops rise approx 23" over bedrails. Basket dimensions are 48x84. All has been coated with etching primer and multiple coats of Rustoleum Hammer Forged paint. It is sitting on my 2003 GMC Sierra 2500HD with a 6.5' bed. Should fit any 2001-2007 GM truck with a 6.5" bed.
Price: $1000 obo
Bedrack Specs:
*Approx 75lbs.
*Bedrail caps-12 gauge steel, full length, bent to 90 and secured to factory bedrail sides with 6 stainless 3/8in buttonhead bolts.
*Hoops and crossbar construction - 2" .095 wall HREW tube. Bent in a JD2 hydraulic bender with 6.5" radius die. Crossbars notched and full welded with 3/16" plate corner gussets at all inside corners.
Basket Specs:
*Approx 120lbs
*Main construction 1" .095 wall HREW tubing. Bent in a JD2 hydraulic bender with a 3.5" radius die. Crossbars and risers notched and full welded.
*Mounting plates are 3/8' barstock 2" wide full welded to basket crossbars.
*Deck is 18 gauge expanded steel with 5/16" spread.
