I would love to see the option to add more radio callsigns. Currently of course, it only allows HAM. I'd like to be able to display my GMRS callsign, as a non HAM user. For purposes of keeping the forum clean, maybe allow only one to be selected as "featured". And to cover all bases I would like to be able to claim the Off-Road Ranger 1 Badge via my GMRS license. And yes, I know my license was a swipe of a credit card and not a real test. :tearsofjoy:

Yes, I've seen a few profiles "hack" the callsign section and add other callsigns/fake nicknames etc. I would like this to be completely legitimate, I personally won't claim a badge I don't technically meet.

We will give it some thought, but right off the top of my head I really dont think its necessary because it really is not used or monitored by the FCC.

GMRS was developed to replace CB, no test and a radio that is pre-programed. I would suspect that there are lots of people that buy the GMRS and just start using it without licensing.

I need to do some work on the badges to find a place for the GMRS.

Totally true, most people I know don't use their callsign if they have one or not. Maybe over repeaters but definitely not simplex. I still think it would be cool to have a spot for it on the profile because A) It's nice to know who else uses GMRS as it is gaining a lot of popularity. (Especially in the 4x4 and prepper communities) B) It incentivizes people to do the right thing and get a license. At least if they want to be recognized here.

GMRS call signs can now be added to your profile.
The Off-Road Ranger 1 Badge for ham has not changed, the main reason is that it takes effort to get a ham license unlike the GMRS.
