Has anyone been to the Lava tubes in Pisgah off route 66 in the winter time? i was thinking of creating an OB trip sometime in December/ January for a late weekend trip to explore the area but don't know how cold it'll get there during the day or night since it is the desert. I've been there YEARS ago in the spring time and the place was absolutely beautiful! I thought it would be a great Family friendly trip during winter break for kids/ adults who are in school and for those of us who need to get away right before or after the holiday season!
