I have had different people ask about my solar setup and batteries, so thought I would share pictures. I went out today and topped off all the cells with distilled water. My system is 7 years old, and still working well. Not looking forward to the cost of replacement of my batteries, but the day is coming. The batteries in the Husky box are L16, 6 volt. The single battery is a J185H-AC, 12 volt. Hope you can see the AMP Hours listed on the batteries. . Anyway here you go. Vance.

That looks like a very simple and effective set up.
A couple of years ago we bought a 15 acre plot of land to put a house on. I had converted a School Bus to live in and we were living in it using a 400 watt solar set-up much like yours. I had the batteries in the lower cargo bay and the panels on the roof, but nothing fancy.
I now plan to install much of the system on my 30ft travel trailer that replaced the bus. It will allow longer off grid vacations.
BTW, you have to love all the sunshine we get here, a solar system like that would never work on the West side.
