Sorry if this has been posted before but let’s see those setups.

Also while I have you here anyone use DMR simplex while out ? I know most use GMRS (myself included) but I know there are a few of us who hold the dual lic.

I have a dual license but gave my son the GMSR. I was going to do the mod on my IC-2730a to get te GMSR frequencies, but, those small ICs look way too small. So, I need to ask the dealers about the $$ for them to do it. 73 - W0WND

I hold HAM and GMRS licenses. I don't do DMR because no one I go out with runs it. I do run APRS sometimes but mostly so the wife can look and have an idea of where I"m at on trips.

Here's an older video of my setup, my primary radio has changed a few times since then but I still have this PM400 in the shop. Anymore my primary radio service that I use is GMRS as my local Jeep club has less than a handful of HAM radio users but plenty of GMRS/FRS users. We also have a fairly active GMRS repeater that's local and covers our whole county easily and then some.
