Hello All,

As I am planning my trips for this year and outfitting my rig, I am looking at what king of Overlanding is happening in my home country of Greece. Greece is mostly mountainous with a lot to see and explore.
Who is planning an Overland trip to Greece?

I have attache a video I found from the Island of Lefkada, I don't know the guys.. but it shows some of the possibilities.

Yes, Greece has a lot to offer.

I have been there a few times. No pure Greece tours but more often driven through from east to west, for example, coming from Turkey to reach the ferry to Italy or in the opposite direction. Absolutely georgous for example are the mountains and forests of the Rodophen, which are located in northern Greece and southern Bulgaria. It is also beautiful around Mount Olympus and of course the Meteroa monasteries are great to see. The Pindos Mountains are also not far away from there.

Well, there is much more to see in Greece. The islands, I think, must also be fantastic, what about island hopping?

Enjoy your upcoming trips,
Bjoern

Island hopping in a overland rig would be very cool .. many of the islands have off the beaten tracks and hidden beach’s … just stay away from Santorini or Mikinos .. or any of the islands with excessive tourism .. parking the rig and hiking!

Also travelling by ferry with a vehicle isn’t fast … so expect to spend a day or two longer than you expected on the small islands , don’t be in a rush. Some island (like my Folegandros), don’t be surprised if you never want to leave.
