Noticed today as I was driving to feed store (I run a Small farm) that the spot within the yellow square is completely a blind spot, useless to me as I drive. I think this would make a great spot to build extra storage. As you see I'm only beginning. Drawing a layout on my tablet of how to build a setup for myself, 2 dogs. I want to also utilize the top rack. No roof top tent, can't carry my elder large dog up there. Looking forward to learning more as I go through forum threads.

Most excellent!

Planning on high sleeping area for yourself with separate area for dogs or all together?

Dogs will have to be with me. I was thinking the area in the yellow Square could be elevated shelf storage. There's so much to consider. The majority will be tent camping on the ground.

there are great ideas on here for sure. i did the deck system in my pickup and got the idea off here as well as slide in a slide idea. one of the members on here had a drawer on a slide, 12" slide i think, and had his stove on it and then had another slide built in under it and that slid out and was used as a prep area...so he got 2 feet of drawer that slid into each other and only took up 1 foot when stowed. might be helpful to you.
i'm currently doing a cargo trailer conversion and didnt like the idea of my cabinet doors opening up and having to have the area clear in order to open a cabinet door. i thought about a medicine cabinet and found the same kind of tracks on amazon. the sliding doors are a great space saver and they are cheap since all i need is thin luan to make them.

Yeah, that’s a good storage spot for gear that won’t move. For us, that’s where the dogs generally go so that if one of them starts making fun noises my wife can easily see them. If you are traveling solo, I recommend not putting critters in the blind spot.

This is a cool set up!
I found it on Amazon. I'll be looking at this in the future!
