The annual new years day wheeling trip will be held out of union this year. The plan is to meet at the union high school about 10am on January 1st. once everyone gets there we will head out hwy 203 towards medical springs. The plan is to go up Hess cabin rd. For the individuals that want a shorter day there is the " merry-go-round " rd. I plan on getting paper maps for anyone that wants one. If time permits I plan on going out and marking the roads as well.

Depending on how much snow is up there I would guess you will need a moderately built wheeler. It is highly recommended to have recovery points front and rear at minimum.

There will be a 50/50 raffle, so get your tickets. Ticket prices are $5/each or 5/$20. You don't have to be present to win.

For the individuals that will be trailering their wheelers, there is a couple different options for parking your tow rigs and trailers.

I plan on having a warming fire down in one of the lower meadows.
