Pretty convinced i need a new starter battery (single battery vehicle currently)

Group 94R

Option 1. Advance Auto Parts / Auto Zone (Johnson Controls battery)
CCA 850
CA 1000
RC 140 min
80 Ah
3yr warranty

Option 2. Oddessy / Northstar
CCA 840
CA 1030
RC 158 min
76 Ah
up to 5yr warranty
*claim up to 900 discharge cycles to 50% and can be both starting / deep cycle battery

Vehicle has lights, radio and winch. I think i hurt the OEM battery using the winch. Option 1 is over 100 bucks cheaper and would be much more commonly available.

Thoughts on sacrificing availability and cost for a potentially slightly better battery? Either battery seems like a decent jump in power output compared to OEM battery

(2019 vehicle, battery has a born on date of 2013, thanks FCA, eye roll)

OEM battery
CCA 730
CA ??
RC 140 min
80Ah

Good video. Optima used to be one of the best then they changed hands and moved production to Mexico and quality went into the crapper.

If I had the money I would go with the Northstar. But I'd have no problem running the Wal Mart battery from the video either.

Makes no difference. Buy whichever you like. One is better quality and warranty which will be less likely to fail. The other is easier to come by and more affordable if you do need to replace it in a pinch.

I'd personally save my money for an Odyssey when you go to duals. (You really should go to duals)
