Greetings all! I've been a regular viewer of OB YouTube postings, so wanted to join the crew.
I'm a retired guy, lifelong traveller (started on the Asia Hippie Trail in the early 1970's). I live on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State, along US101 on the south end of Hood Canal.
When I retired, I built up a 1994 Jeep Cherokee as an overlander and have taken it north to Coldfoot, Alaska, on the Prudhoe Bay road and twice south to Cabo San Lucas, Baja California, for winter trips. Photo attached.
I've also done two Africa trips with rented 4x4's, Australia car camping road trips and lots of European travel . I spent the winters of 1917 and 1918 in South Africa and nearby countries. Happy to communicate with anyone thinking about Africa trips.
