Howzit everyone!!
I finally found you guys!! Impoy here from the Tri Valley Ca.
Ever since I had my first truck back in the 1980's and 90s', a group of my friends would install a camper shell in the back of our truck bed and call it "Truck camping." Lol.. We would drive far off camp sites and set camp on our own.We would rig up tarps and canvas tents and attach it on our trucks. We would imagine if a group like this in the future would grow and evolve to a club all over the world. We were dreamers and rigged our trucks to the best to our knowledge. I even rigged a tent on top my camper shell!! Haha
Life took its course and grounded us with careers and family. We lost touch and trucks became work trucks and that was the end of our truck camping days. We didn't know that there was a name for it.. Overland bound!!
Almost 30 years has gone by, I decided to treat myself to a truck and bought myself a 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro, you only live once, and then thank goodness for the internet I found this site! I'm a little old skool and not into social media. But am I glad I found you guys. This is as much social media I'll probably do. Oh and Tacoma World for my truck.
I'm a former aircraft mechanic and went on another career. I'm pretty mechanically inclined and missed working on cars and trucks. I missed those camping days and now I have the best of both worlds. Thank you guys and ladies for being here and hoping to see you overland bound and beyond!

Gutted the interior for sound proofing and exterior lighting and racks..
