Hey everyone,

I have a DIY power box with a Litime 100 AH mini battery in it. It is currently a stand alone set up with auxillary solar. I typically charge it every couple of days for keeping my fridge cold in the cab. Can y'all help me out with suggestions for what exactly I need to purchase to monitor the battery charge level? I've read online and I can't seem to find exactly someone saying "this" is what you need. I'm on a budget but still want something that works halfway well(bluetooth if available would be a bonus).

A simple voltmeter would probably be sufficient for your relatively simple setup.

kind of an old thread, but for anyone stumbling onto this and is currently needing a good battery monitor...there is a decent and cheap one on amazon

in order to have an accurate read on your battery, you need a shunt. which is a low resistance device that attaches to the negative terminal of the battery and is able to monitor the current leaving the battery as well as current going into the battery, so that way you have an accurate reading. I bought this one several times over the years and it has worked great with lithium and AGM batteries. really simple and easy to install and zero problems as of yet...
I even bought one to use in a portable power station I made.
