Nantahala National Forest

Wondering if anyone has any recommendations for forest service roads, or any other unpaved roads in Nantahala Nat'l Forest? Looking to do a 2-3 day camping trip out that way, primitive camping preferred. There aren't many threads on here with info on Nantahala camping, but I did see some stuff recommending FS81, but sounds like it's closed in the winter.
Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Bump -- looking at some Forest Service Roads (Rainbow Springs Rd, Ball Creek RD) in Nantahala -- would love if anyone had further recs or knew of any good remote campsites down this way.

A lot of stuff is seasonal in that area and I think they close some trails for maintenance before the spring rush. Best thing to do is to call or Email the Ranger District for the area you will be visiting. They can also let you know current trail/road conditions which is always helpful.
