Hi everyone,

I recently got a portable jackery solar panel to use while at basecamp but I was thinking it would be useful also to have that running also while driving.

I have seen many people mounting rigid solar panels to the roof but I was wondering if anyone tried with the foldable ones?
They are a bit more fragile and don't really have mounting points so it might not be a good idea.

Thanks!

Wouldn't cost a lot to just buy a standard 100W solar panel and mount that on your vehicle, then you can use the portable one to chase the sun and double your charge capacity. Below is what I bought and mounted to the roof of my truck, works great!

It seems to me that if you want to charge while driving it would be WAY more efficient to just plug into the vehicle electrical system. You can get 120W from most standard 12V plugs.
