Hello,
I figured I would start to document my mild build thread. Most of my adventures take place around the west and down into baja mex. I have a small farm and do garden design, so I need my truck bed. Thats why I went with the softopper for now. In the future I will figure out a better system.

I picked up the the truck in October, since then I have just changed the tires and added a softopper

Here is what is left to do:
Suspension = OME bp-51 just ordered should be here in a few weeks
SSO Hidden winch front bumper, = In Fabrication
For now build a an easy to install / uninstall sleeping and drawer system

also going to add the expedition essentials tacoma compressor bed mount.

I will mostly likely just go with the ARB single compressor ( I think it should work fine for 33" tires).
I had a viair in the past so that should be a nice upgrade.

I still need to figure out the battery . I dont think I need a dual setup, as I am not running a fridge. I think a good 27 or 31 will be just fine.

Feel free to add any suggestions or thoughts.

Nice looking Tacoma. I run a 2015 but know a fair bit about the trucks if you have any questions. I am running the ARB single and you need to make sure the line coming out of the compressor is a high heat line (they sell it as a kit) and you will be fine. the duel pump is fast but it is also 100 duty cycle. Biggest thing about both units is clean air with no mud or dust. Looking forward to seeing more of the build.

I built a simple/cheap drawer system for my Taco and wanted to chip in. My Gen 2 (2013) has a lip around the bed that is the same height as the wheel well (about 9")
It also has notches the height of a 1x6 (I can measure when I get home). So we have 3x 2 ft sections 3/4" ply the width of the bed, 2x 1x6 the width of the bed, and one support piece up the middle the length of the bed with notches cut out for the 1x6s. Pretty easy, all in all less than $100. We also got drawers that go under beds to slide under the platform for gear.

Attached some pics of it without any loaded gear. Should work well better for needing to take it out than the huge deck systems.20171002_193612.jpeg20171002_193619.jpeg

Thanks for the input, Yeah I ran the viair before and would just open the hood and connect when I needed it, so I am sure this will seem real fast in the field

Thanks for the pics, I am going to build a real simple one as well. I am going to only run a single drawer and riff off of the latest overland bound video build. .
