I'm making plans to spend the night photographing the Lunar Eclipse On March 13 - 14, 2025 at American Horse Lake.
After visiting the location today, I was shocked by the amount of trash left around the site, from empty beer bottles and cans to luggage and inflatable mattresses partially burned in a campfire ring. The disregard for nature and disrespect for public land hurts my heart.
I guess the best I can do is arrive earlier with afternoon light, bring large trash bags, and put a dent in the amount of litter at the location. I would love to have some company in the task along with observing the Moon eclipse for some night photography.
Please share your ideas and experiences to help guide me.
