What was your longest trip with a car full. I recently went on vacation and my wife (pregnant at the time) wanted to do a road trip. I was down and so was my 6 year old daughter. What was originally a trip from Tennessee to Louisiana to Mississippi quickly turned into a 10 day 9 state trip with two dogs a little one and a wife who needed to pee every 100 miles. all in all we had a great trip.

clarksville, TN
Talulah, LA
Winona, MS
Ozarks, AR
Tulsa,OK
somewhere, KS
Colorado Springs, CO
NE tip, NM
panhandle-central, TX
shreveport, LA
back to clarksville.

2005 - Kodiak, AK to Sault Ste. Marie, MI (4,600 miles) with a 3 year old.
2007 - Sault Ste. Marie, MI to Juneau, AK (3,000 miles) with a 5 year old.
2012 - Kodiak, AK to Grand Haven, MI (4,300 miles) with a 3 year old and a 10 year old.
Each one was an adventure...but both times the kid(s) did great.

Drove from Portland, OR, to Blaine, WA, and from there over to Story, Wyoming, last summer with my wife, our 8-month old, and 2 dogs. We didn't camp along the way though, and we stuck to paved roads w/ few exceptions, so it may not qualify as overlanding. Still, I had a buncha gear on my roof, and my gerry cans (just in case) so I looked pretty cool.

Few years back I drove from the Eastern shore of Maryland to Disney World with the wife and two young teenagers. Left in the evening and drove straight through the night, got to the Florida welcome center first thing in the morning. I brought my laptop at a bunch of DVDs, a couple times I had to look back to make sure I didn't leave them at one of the pit stops!!!!

Our longest trip was in 2015, about 8000kms (5000-ish miles) in 24 days: Toronto -Quebec-Labrador-New Foundland-Nova Scotia-Prince Edward Island-New Brunswick-Gaspesie(Quebec)-Toronto.
I remember our daughter (7 years old at the time) asking me to find a place to use the washroom on Hwy510/Trans-Labrador, somewhere midway between Goose Bay and Port Hope Simpson. We were about 200kms from the closest washroom, on either direction. My little city girl learned what a bush is for that day. [emoji23]
The trip was a blast! Our daughter had her first road trip of 1600km when she was 8 months old. She's great on trips of any length.

Currently our longest Adventure was a 10 Day, 3 state journey totaling just under 2,000 miles with the fam to include myself, the wife and our two children at the time of 3yrs and 1 yrs old, and a dog.

Our trip started in Silverdale, Washington and ended in San Diego, California

We camped at the following locations
Big Pines Yakima, WA.
Crystal Lake, OR.
Crater Lake, OR.
Mount Shasta, CA.
Lassen National Volcanic Park, CA.
Truckee, CA.
Ellery Lake, CA. (This campsite at the time was super windy 40+ wind gusts at an elevation of 9,500 ft. and the temp was 20ish Degrees lol, it was cold!)
Grant Grove Azalea Sequoia National Forest, CA.
Isabella Lake, CA.
The final night was spent with family in Redlands, CA.
