Anyone in the community who's running a lifted Astro for Overlanding if so any tips or suggestions. I just had mine done a few weeks ago 2003 LT AWD. The van itself is great with a pretty capable AWD system, but they lack ground clearance. Installed an Overland Vans 2" kit and 235/70/16 tires which gave me 3-1/4 " more ground clearance. Now it's time to start adding other components to make it more durable off road. Bumpers guards etc.. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

There are few guys over at Northwest Overland that have lifted Astros, give them a try.

Pretty happy with it so far, All Wheel Drive and we did a 3 inch lift. it's about the only thing out there with seating for six that is no wider then a jeep Wrangler. Plus you get the roof space similar to a Suburban for hauling gear up top. All in all it's a been a great vehicle to start Overlanding with.

I had one when the kids were little. Great vans, AWD, power, legroom, dutch doors out back. Loved it. Mine seemed to leak from every seal & gasket possible...but...it ran great!

Only leaks I've had so far at 150k were the front axle seals at the diff. Had those resealed when the lift was put on a few months back. Only uses about 1/4 qt oil per 3000 mile oil change.
