Looking for a good shop in Nc Fort Bragg area that knows Toyota’s. I have a 1992 FJ that I converted to a 1HD while in Colorado. Once we got back to NC when it is hot out or the end is warmed up and has run for a while it will not start back up once turned off. The rig has to sit for a period of time. I have changed out the starter and fusible link. Battery is perfect as it is new and got it tested. I have read and people tell me it is between the battery and starter. Anyone have a place that can help trouble shoot and fix the issue.

Jason,

Did they put a relay on the starter when they did the conversion? The FJ80 (1992) does not have a relay.

How far are you willing to travel from Fayetteville? There are options in the Raleigh and Charlotte areas.
