I have been looking at getting a ladder since I got my BajaRack Expedition rack.
I've seen the Gobi and similar style ladders, but I'm a hefty guy, and even though the rack can handle my weight, I can only envision the nightmare that would happen if I had a clumsy mishap.... And I'm good at them.
Also, the mounted ladders only let you access the rear without climbing up onto the roof...
I looked at several ladder styles, from RV ladders to even boat ladders....
Then I discovered the collapsing ladder. Kinda pricey at the local Home Depot at over $200....
But I found this on eBay.... For $56.... And it's rated for my weight...
It collapses down to fit nicely in the back of the FJ, and the best part is that I can put it up anywhere in the truck I need to.....
Not as pretty as the Gobi, but I'll take form over function in this case...
