Hello Adventurers!
We are selling our off-road camping setup because we now need more space.
The setup, consisting of an Isuzu DMAX 2.5 pickup and a self-built aluminum living cabin (including a roof tent), has served us faithfully since 2021 and has taken us to various European countries. The setup is self-sufficient, allowing for several days independent of infrastructure. It is best suited for traveling as a couple, or as a family of three with a baby/toddler.
We are only selling the complete setup; the vehicle will not be sold separately from the cabin.
Vehicle:
Isuzu DMAX 2.5 Turbo Diesel, first registration 06/2012, Gen3, Euro 5 (without AdBlue <3), manual transmission, and switchable all-wheel drive (2H, 4H, 4L).
Old Man Emu suspension installed and registered.
Frame parts completely sealed with rust protection, wax in the cavities.
Stands on 4x 16" black Cobra rims with General Grabber AT3 265/70 R16 + 1x spare wheel in the same configuration (also registered).
Front Bullbar is covered with Raptor Liner and has ABE (General Operating Permit).
Safari Snorkel is registered.
Cabin/Living Space (registered in the vehicle papers):
An Alucab Generation 3 roof tent including a 270-degree Alucab awning sits on a self-built aluminum living cabin on the truck bed.
The cabin is constructed from aluminum square profiles, clad with 2mm checker plate, and insulated with 30mm insulation mats, with furniture wood and felt lining inside.
The cabin is built high enough that you can comfortably sit inside even when the roof tent is closed.
Sleeping is on a foldable slatted frame over a cold-foam mattress; access is from the cabin, so you do not need a ladder for the roof tent.
During the day, the slatted frame is folded up, resulting in a huge standing height inside the cabin.
The floor is a screen-printed plate (Siebdruckplatte), to which the kitchen cabinet is screwed. The cabinet contains 10L of fresh and 10L of wastewater tanks with a sink and pump.
Under the bench, there is space for a Porta Potti as well as a trash can and the electrical system.
An inverter for 230v is on board; the remaining distributed USB sockets in the vehicle, of course, run on 12v. This is powered by a 125W solar panel on the roof tent.
The compressor cool box is the Engel MR040.
️ Other Equipment:
3 plastic boxes on the roof rack, one of them containing a diesel parking heater that vents directly into the cabin & roof tent.
Sand plates on both sides that can be folded down, usable as a counter or shelf.
All-round lighting with remote control.
Hinged windows on both sides with fly screen.
The reason for selling the setup is that our child now takes up too much space, and we no longer want to sleep three people in the roof tent.
The cabin's "loose furnishings" (pots, dishes, bedding, etc.) can generally be purchased as well but are not included in the price. So, for those who decide quickly, the vehicle can be handed over ready for travel.
