Come for a meet and greet!
Stay for the night.

Roman nose is an easy drive that all rigs can make it to.
There are more difficult tracks to the top if you want.

Super family friendly camping.
The camp is near the lower of three lakes and there is a loop trail that will take you to 2 additional lakes.
I have heard that these are stocked so bring your fishing gear and catch some dinner.

Damn I'd love to go but I'll be finishing up the last day of the WABDR on the 10th! Don't have anything else planned until aug so I'll keep an eye out, but definitely bummed I'll miss this one

Great Trip! Thanks again to the group. I needed a casual relaxed trip and you guys delivered.
Here is a link to the Google drive folder: Cooks Lake 7.10.2021

I also attached the file I was using to navigate : New Roman Nose w Routs.kml
I was navigating using Maps.me available on both iOS and Android.

Also attached is the trip track I recorded: 2021.07.10 Cook Lake Overnight.gpx

Due to Roman nose being full our little group diverted to Cooks Lake.
Cooks has a slightly technical gate keeper on the last 1/4 mile to get to this spot, but it does not disappoint.
high clearance 4WD with low range is recommended/required.
One rig in our group did not have a rear locker and needed a slight pull to get through the obstacle.

The view from my camp spot.
