I drive a 2005 Rubicon TJ, I'm looking to change my injectors from stock to either 4 hole or 12. Is there any advice out there? Thanks

The concept of having better atomization make sense, a finer mist will mix with the air better.
But.... I wonder how much of the perceived improvement is from going from old dirty injectors to clean injectors as opposed to any benefit of going from 1 hole to 4 or 12 hole.
Smoother idle and better throttle response are typically the two "improvements" I see mentioned.
I assume you are looking at the K-Suspension injectors. For $115 the 4 holes aren't a bad price though he can clean and rebuilt your current set for $50.
You can't even get a full set of aftermarket reman injectors for the price of the 4 holes set.
I may try 4 holes at some point in the near future.

Back in the day I had a BB suburban and switched it from 1 to 4 hole and the difference was very noticeable. Picked up 3mpg , off idle slow acceleration was greatly improved as was towing performance . I’m sure a rebuilt set of stock injectors would have done almost the same thing but I do believe in the long run the 4 holes where worth the investment .

I went from stock single hole units to 4 hole on my XJ. Noticed no real difference other than maybe better throttle response but that could have been because they were newly refreshed injectors instead of dirty 200k mile units haha.

Honestly IMO it's not worth the cost. It's not hard to swap them so time isn't really an issue but for the money if I went back I'd just have my stock injectors rebuilt/cleaned.

Now that I have them and my old single hole injectors I need to send in the single hole units and have them cleaned/rebuilt and put them on my parts shelf for future spare use.

Now that I have them and my old single hole injectors I need to send in the single hole units and have them cleaned/rebuilt and put them on my parts shelf for future spare use.
Or swap them back-n-forth to see if there is any real difference. For $h14s and giggles or at least curiosity sake.

Without internal engine mods (oversized pistons, cam shaft swap, stroked crank and or connecting rods, head work), exhaust modification and intake modification, injector and throttle body upgrades won’t gain more HP, maybe a little better throttle response, but you can get that with just cleaning the injectors as well.

I should add the main reasons I did it on my suburban is the factory 1 pot injectors would leakdown when the vehicle sat so if you turned it off for 45 min or so it would smell horribly rich when you started it back up and it had a inconsistent idle . I wouldn’t of bothered if it didn’t have those issues .
