Importing a car into the US

Hi everyone. I've been doing some research into the feasibility of importing my overlanding rig into the US. I'm thinking permanently, not just for a vacation. It's a 2016 Ranger so not sold in the US market.

My early research suggests that its either very, very difficult or straight impossible. I can't tell which.

Can anyone help me?

Very expensive even if it were possible, to bring something current. While I would love to import a late model Nissan Patrol Safari Edition, it just isn't going to happen.

In the US, you basically have to wait until it's 25 years old if it's not a NAS vehicle. There's exhibition purpose, but your mileage is restricted. I doubt you want to wait 25 years, and I doubt you want any mileage restrictions...
