I've posted a few times in here asking about a rig/platform, got into a 1500 Silverado and realized it killed more gas than I wanted it to (avg 14mpg). I was dead set on a subie but between overpricing and head gasket issues I was steered another direction.
Here's my new rig, a 2000 CRV AWD. B20 Honda engine with auto trans and 175k on the clock for $2800. Runs and drives perfect. I know it's not a crawler but I don't need I to be, either. Then again I've seen these things get thru some wicked snow and mud so I think they're more capable than most give them credit for.
I'm looking at upsizing tires to a 215/75r15 along with a mild spacer lift for hitting some trails and a little mud. Open to any and all ideas!
