Howdy! My name is Alex and I recently purchased a 2013 FJ Cruiser! I'm from Texas, from either DFW or Houston depending on day, as I frequent both cities. I'm new to the overlanding scene, but I've been following it for years. I'm usually on a road trip every weekend, to the local Texas parks such as Caprock State Park. There's so many places to explore in Texas! Just last year the big trips I've done were to Iceland (during winter time!), Colorado and Minnesota.

I picked up an FJ Cruiser over a 4Runner, because of the looks, and also the short wheel base. Makes fitting into a garage so much easier. As soon as I picked it up, I bought a full RCI skid plate treatment, and some All-Pro rock sliders. Next is suspension, and then bigger tires, followed by front bumper.
