How much power/AH does your diesel heater use in 8hrs?

I have a 100ah battery and was wondering how much of it will be used up using a diesel heater for 8 hrs and just wondering if that will be enough juice with some to spare..
I also wonder if it is put outside and route it to the inside of my van if it will be able to heat up the -20C cold outside air enough to keep me warm or is that asking to much of these units?

startup is the big cost. usually runs at about 100w for 5-10 minutes to heat the glow plug and get up to temp. After that the power draw on my 5kw is nominal. maybe 5-10w/hr, which is just to run the fan and pump.

@Nomad You want the heater outside the van, they are not perfectly sealed, although you could build a sealed enclosure to get around that But ideally close to van so you have a short run of output pipe.

My 5kw pulls about heater at 2.4 pulls 11 - 13 at 2.4, as low as 7 at 1.7 -16.

Mine is mounted inside. diesel tank obviously is outside with a line run to the heater and exhaust/intake runs out the bottom.

I ran a test one night with my 100Ah battery. It started at 89% at 10p and was at 85% at 7a. Temp outside started at 42 and got down to 37. 4% battery amount to ~4Ah. At 12.8v that's 51w. My heater is an Hcalory SS2.

got this 5kw off amazon and I ended up using a dedicated 35ah battery and it ran several nights without recharge. I don't have a numerical amount to give, but they don't use much power. I set the fan fairly low and it really just sips the power...I'd guess this one is about 1.5 to 2 amps per hour on 12v battery.
