Ive been looking at the message board, I haven't seen any meet up rallys in the phoenix area yet. If I set one up would any members come. Im thinking meeting up at Rudy's in Avondale.

I used to live out by Apache Jct., which is the other side (East) of the valley. Haven't been out there since the 80's though. We used to ride dirt bikes in those deserts as teenagers in the 70's before it was fenced off.

We never did find the Lost Dutchman's mine.

But we tried...

I'd be interested but live in Tempe. If you are just talking about a social gathering maybe somewhere a little more centeraly located.

If you have some good trails out that part of the valley to share then why not!

That part of the reason I wanted to get together, to find great spots and trails. Plus get top know fellow overlanders, maybe come up with a trail ride. Im still new to this area. I would like to do a overland ride to somewhere.

Well having lived here in central Phx since the 80's you just are NOT going to get alot of interest untill the evening temps come down. Even a Sat am meet up is HOT right now :)
I would say your best bet is to mark a date in Sept when it cools off a little....
There are lots of great trails around Phx within an hour, the Funtreks & Backcountry Discovery books are a good start along with Trailsoff Road, OnX and other digital resources.

This is the time of year we escape every weekend possible to higher elevations, maybe a Payson or Showlow meetup on a Sat for something easy like a Rim Road run.
