Hello all, just joined after watching a few videos on the tube. My husband and I are looking into building an overland trailer with a roof-top tent to get back into camping. We have lots of RV experience starting with a 19', and working our way up to a fully loaded 38' with dual slides, but it's been some time since we "roughed it". We want to start traveling further, and experiencing more remote places, so we decided to go back to the basics, with just a few extra comforts. We'll be pulling whatever we build with either a 97 Jeep Wrangler, or a 21 Jeep Gladiator.

Looking forward to learning more from you all, especially in the building departments.

meh.... the hospitality probably isn't worth the humidity right now! It hurts to breathe!
Can't argue with that. I don't miss the humidity AT ALL hahah Galveston(sp?) was our favorite place to escape to

I can sort of relate to that! Glad I don't have to work out in it anymore. Hardly even want to go fishing till about late September. Welcome to OB. Lots of good ideas and knowledge!

It's an unfortunate side effect if you choose to live on a 40' boat. Although I hear there are lakes in MN, wonder if there's an open boat slip. I'm cool with boating in circles.

Boats are great! I have a couple. Lived on a sailboat some a while back. Right now a cold mountain stream would work wonders. At least I'm getting plenty of squash, peppers and tomatoes! I actually put a shade cover over them and they seem to like it.
