Howdy everyone.

My name is Alain ("Alan"), and I live in the Loess Hills of Western Iowa, just East of Mondamin (IA), about 40 miles North of Omaha (NE).

I use my 2014 Jeep Rubikon (JK) for my travels; currently outfitted with an Aries front bumper and winch, and a Gobi Stealth roof rack. Up to now, I have using a ground tent, but have just ordered an RTT to mount on the Gobi.

I left my corporate executive career about a year ago to pursue landscape and fine art photography, traveling mostly West (UT, CO, NM, AZ, NV, OR, WA, CA, WY, MT, SD) to make prints showing the beauty and diversity of the land :).

We have 3 standard Schnauzers and one Giant Schnauzer, which my wife travels in her Ford Transit customized van to compete with in Agility, Rally, and Barn Hunt. I sometimes tag along to take photos of these events as well.

Anybody in the greater Omaha/Council Bluffs/Sioux City/Sioux Falls area, say hi! :)

Hi there, Jake! Thanks, and the same wishes to you ! How's Annie doing?! Do you have Jade back yet, or are you still in Baja? I might be a bit behind due to recent CO/UT travels, but I do follow you on YouTube! Keep up the fun videos.

Hi Alain! Annie's doing great and I do not have Jade back. They are just finishing her rebuild. I fly into CO this coming Wed. I've been chomping at the bit to get back to her! Really appreciate your support and following my journey. You can follow me on here too!

Hi Dan - Thanks for your interest! I usually travel to art shows to sell actual prints of my photos; I like to be fully in control of the creation process, and how the finished photo looks. I have just started creating a site to also sell prints online, the address is (not posting a link due to forum rules...) alainzarinelli.com (just add 'https' in front;) until I have more time during the Winter months, this is really more of a place holder at this time... I am active on Instagram, @azarinelli, and that's where I post stuff that's not good enough for printing, but works on a monitor :)...

Will do. Thanks! I actually am planning a photo trip through WY, MT, ID, WA to OR and back... Plans to hit Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Glacier, then through WA to the coast... Since I just photographed Thor's Hammer in UT (Bryce,) I need to also get his well ;)
