Hi everyone! Looking forward to the journey ahead. Don't have a capable rig yet, but my research is well underway. For now I have to rely on my 2WD Sentra. Not so good for backcountry, but it takes me on road-trips just fine.

I've been backpacking for about a year now and I'm really interested in getting further off the grid. I live in California so there's lots of opportunities around.

I once was where you were driving around in my Accord. But you are welcome to check out a local meet up and see rigs in person. I am the Bay Area member rep and I can help connect you to meet ups that are happening near you. In Pleasanton CA there is a meet up on the second Sunday’s of the month and it has a great regular turn out and active. The Tri-Valley (Pleasanton) group has number of plans already laid out for June through November. Our next meet up will be July 12th, in person!

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!

I unfortunately can't do in-person meetups right now. I have a chronic respiratory condition that puts me at higher risk for covid, so I have to wait on more treatment advancement before I accept that risk. But I look forward to meeting up in the future!

I'll definitely take the tread lightly online course. I'm always hungry for education and knowledge.
