Hello all
My name is Larry. H and I am from Lancaster PA. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart and a proud father of three amazingly beautiful children. I have been listening to the podcast and reading the guide lines on the forum and I’m super impressed with the values and core of overland bound. And I can’t wait to be a full member and be apart of this amazing community. I hope to listen and learn from you all. I became Very interested in vehicle Expedition and travel back in 2007 or 2009. I seen a video of these Arctic trucks, then a while later I watched a video of these land rover defenders fighting threw rain forest and swamp lands. (I believe that rover video was no limit expeditions at the time) for years after that I would type “safari trucks” in the search engine in hopes that I would find these adventure rigs I had once seen on line. Later on I found some expedition sites and videos, then this whole amazing overland thing shortly after. In 2011 I Purchased a 2011 Nissan xterra in hopes to build and take overlanding. Life was not so freeing for many years after that. Even tho we took very small short trips, we never truly ventured off into the great unknown. A few years ago I sold the xterra and tried to forget about those dreams of a great adventure. Or even some amazing small ones. I’m hoping to change that in a year or two. My wife and I have been talking about it for a little while and decided we were going to give it a lot more effort. After much talk over what vehicle will work for our family, we hope to pick up a JK soon and start off on small camping trips and work our way up to bigger and bigger trips. Maybe even go to some mainline overland workshops. I’m excited to start this journey with you all. Thank you!!
