Greetings from God's country, I'm a new member from Vermont . My Wife and I bought a 01' Ford Excursion last year to safely get our family around in the mountains here in Vermont. There is 8 of us all told and our kids are 2,6,7,13,&14 with our 23 yr old in FL. Our Ex is our only transportation and fits us just right! Minivans have been an ugly chapter in our life and are not missed. We've had a couple of E350 church vans but when we saw the chance to go 4X4 with the Excursion we jumped at it ! We hope to do some upgrades soon but good coopers all round and wheel bearing hubs,ball joints,hub and axle seals, u-joints and outer axle stub shafts on the front axle ate up available cash for now. I got caught up in this Covid19 wave of layoffs so we shoe stringing the ole budget for now! Hope to find info on rock sliders, skid plates and roof racks to fabricate for the Ex myself on here .
