I have a cobra hh34, I am wanting to mount an antenna on my hoe to use when I have the CB in the vehicle. It gets bad reception while in the cab.

You will have to buy a BNC/SO239 adapter, they are on ebay for around $5-10 then buy external CB antenna, your choice of mount. Find a buddy that has a SWR meter to adjust your antenna and your good to go. If you cant find someone that has a meter and 3’ cable they go for around $25. This is important, it is very easy to do, if you dont it can degrade range and performance and can even damage to radio.
