Hey everyone,
My name is Brad, member 12,173, and I am from the Northern California region. I drive a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport that is substantially built for off-road use. I am 100% obsessed with the overland concept. I am well experienced on most of the rock crawling trails in the sierras. I am making a transition into a more "expedition" style of rock crawling and I am in love.
The rig:
99 Cherokee Sport
-Dana 44 front, 4.56 gears, Eaton e-locker
-Dana 44 rear, 4.56 gears, detroit locker
-35" mud+snow tires for shoes
-Rusty's 6.5" long arm suspension lift for legs
-Hydro-Assist stearing with a Redneck Ram, rebuilt/beefed up steering box
-Rusty's HD track bar, pitman arm, and tie rod
-Bolt in roll cage
-8000lb Warn winch
-Terribly beat up front and rear bumpers.
-Various small upgrades
Axles come from a 1976 J10. Up next on the improvement list is pulling the seats to re-insulate the floor and rhino line it. Then, new rear bumper with a tire mount to free up some space for future storage.
She isn't pretty, but she's functional beyond belief. Tons of improvements to come to make her more expedition worthy. I hope to join up with some people in the region on some overland fun!
