Getting ready for my first Adventure!!

Hey I’m Joseph, I’m looking for vehicle that could support my journey across the west coast, I will be hauling gear like surf boards, spearGuns, fishing poles, Water, Refrigerator, cooking equipment, SUP.
I could be in the road for a year or more.
I have a pretty flexible budget but not extravagant all together some where around 30k for the whole deal. How much should I be spending on a vehicle and what are some suggestions I’ve been leaning towards a toyota but I’m 100% open to suggestions. THANK YOU...

Sounds like an SUV would be your best option. Tons of room and, depending on how off-road you get, plenty capable of making it there. A 4-Runner or equivalent should do just fine. For more room, you may consider a Tahoe or similar. I wouldn't go bigger than that if you are going to be on tight trails.

Check the Buy Sell Trade Rig section on the forum, lots of nice choices that will probably fix all your needs. Also have a buddy in Socal who listed his built Tacoma recently.
