Is anyone currently using the Geo Adventure Awning Tent ?

They also sell on EBAY , but have yet to pull the trigger. For not having an awning the price is still attractive.

I have not seen an in-depth review over time or anyone talk about harsh conditions. Wondering if anyone has any good or bad words to say ?

No, but I was curious about that style of tent as well. I bought the cheap walmart knock off to see if I liked the concept. The wally tent is about the same size and is designed to hook to a canopy. Some quick mods allowed it to hook to an awning with little effort. I've used it 4 times with the family and here's what I've found.

The good: because it connects to a structure, it's a pretty easy setup. Connect the front two corners to the bottom of the awning, stake out the back, put in your poles and then attach to the top. It's also pretty roomy inside. We fit three cots in ours. Not sure how tall the wally one is in comparison, but in the wally one I can almost stand up and I'm 5'10.

The bad: My biggest complaint was that it was attached to my jeep meaning I couldn't drive away. I solved that by adding an additional frame structure so that the tent can be free standing. This is also the cheap wally version, so no canvas. We've had rain, but nothing too bad so that's still to be tested.
