good evening all, wanted to pick your brains on gas cans / mounts for my Jeep. Looking towards dual rotopax mounted on spare tire with vector off-road mount. but wanted to see if anyone had better mounts or if there might be some other ideas out there. looked at quite a few options and decided on making my own. A little welding prowess and you have something that works for your application; see pic. I am looking at the Rebel Offroad Black-out set-up for only the drivers side. It will likely be the First Aid or recovery kit when I do get that far.

Nice looking mount I was actually thinking exact same thing for my diy mount. Going to add led back up lights & cb antenna mount as well. Thank you for the picture & info.

Probably the hardest part to make was the plate that the bolt in the center threads into... drilling out the lug pattern was a little frustrating.
The only upgrade I would suggest is maybe thicker (not read bigger) tube steel and cross bracing where the bolt hole is. This version is light enough and works fine, but if you get a little too happy with the wrench it does flex.
