The time has come when I have to realize that my kids are starting to get taller and that the family comfort should play a bigger part into our adventures. My Silverado has been great through travels and day to day requirements. I'd still like something that can tow an ATV (maybe two) and what I call our "fun trailer" which is a covered trailer that houses our kayaks and outdoor games/activities. My questions:

Anyone transitioned from a truck to an SUV? Do you regret it? Has it worked out better or worse? Any real limitations besides getting the back seats/cargo area dirty?

I know the basics like not being able to move big items (washer/dryer/fridge/etc). Worse comes to worse I can load that on a trailer and haul as needed. I'd like your real experiences if possible.

FWIW the '19+ RAM 1500 back seat is bigger than you'll find in any SUV out there. That said, if you still decide to go SUV WK2s seem to be a steal right now. You could get a nice 5.7 Hemi model that'll tow great and give you a lot of the capability of your Silverado, but also provide a nice mid-sized SUV driving experience. Otherwise, you can't go wrong going to a Tahoe/Yukon.

Went to F250 Crew Cab. Huge back seat for adults.
